Q&A:

jessica_simpson_is_dumb asked Are AR-15 accesories compatable with the Colt Match Target Rifle?

I own a Colt Match Target Rifle and would like to add on some of the many accessories available for the AR-15 assault rifles. Are the accessories compatible?

And got the following answer:

Yes, yes, and yes.

Even if you are unfortunate enough to own an odd-ball Colt with a small pin hole in the front receiver/lower – it’s nothing a $4 adapter from www.midwayusa.com cannot fix. I have installed them on friends rifles and they work excellent!

SaxWalrus asked What do the letters and numbers on the top of my Ar-15 mean?

On the rail of my Del-Ton AR-15 assault rifle, there are white letters and numbers that say T4, T6, T8, T10, and T12. What are they there for?

And got the following answer:

They are there so you can put accessories/optics back in the same spot each time you remove them.

Mr. Gordy asked I there any difference between buying an AR-15 vs a regular Rifle?

I am really thinking of buying an ar-15 soon and I just want to know if there are any more restrictions on buying an AR versus buying say a regular bolt action rifle. I am 16 and my mom has signed the paper work and background checks and all that junk for my other rifle.

And got the following answer:

It really depends on the State that you live in. Some states like California and New York have very strick Assault weapon laws. You can own an AR-15 in California but are restricted as to the number of (black) gun type accessories it can have. For example, in CA if you want to be able to use detachable magazines you cannot have a pistol grip or flash hider. If you want a pistol grip the magazine has to be pinned to the gun and it must be loaded through the breech. Check with your state laws. Any gunshop owner or FFL holder in your area will help fill you in on the details for your area.

Brent asked Question regarding orders placed for banned accessories before the assault weapons ban goes into effect?

As you all may know, Sen. Feinstein is going to propose a new assault weapons ban, which would include hi-capacity magazines, on 03 JAN. Most accessories for the AR-15 and similar weapons are out of stock or on back order due to high demand. Now, my question is if the ban passes, how would it apply to those orders pending back-order? For example, if an order is placed on 02JAN for a 30rd magazine that is on back-order but is then banned on 03JAN, would the order be cancelled or would it be grandfathered into the old law as “pre-ban”? Keep in mind that most orders placed for back-ordered items will not charge your credit card until the order ships. So would it also make a difference if money has been paid, or would it be based on when the original order was placed on 02JAN? Any educated response will be greatly appreciated. If you can, please post a link to something that will justify the answer. Thank you in advance.

And got the following answer:

You might as well face it, the liberal gun control bigots are coming after our firearms. First, like in all countries that have ever banned firearms, they will make registration mandatory. They have to know where the firearms are before they can come and get them. They may pass a bunch of laws restricting firearms first, just to get the people used to having the Second Amendment protected right taken away from them. Very shortly after they make registration mandatory, and find out who has firearms and where they are the will be coming after them.

And this is exactly how they will come after them, and this should scare the hell out of every America citizen:

That Guy asked Did you know you can still get AK47s and AR-15s if there is an assault weapon ban?

By law an assault weapon Is classified as a weapon with a pistol grip and at least one of the following accessories. a muzzle break, a telescoping stock, and a bayonet lug. So if there’s a ban the manufacturer just removes those accessories and it is legal. Will you feel safer knowing people can’t adjust the length of their stocks, and that their gun recoils more without the muzzle break?

Look up pre-ban AK-47 or AR-15 then post ban AK-47 or AR-15

Do you realize how STUPID this ban is?
Manufacturers will modify them so they are legal to sell.
Regular people can legally get them too! Just modified versions.

And got the following answer:

That assumes the SAME “assault weapons ban.”
Obama expressly asked Congress to “reauthorize the Clinton AWB” but to CHANGE IT to include authority to CONFISCATE any and all civilian firearms of ALL types.

They people who WROTE the Clinton ban SAID what their legislative method was:
> They went to a newsstand and bought a gun magazine. (Something like “Guns and Ammo.” They didn’t say which one)
> They flipped through it and stopped at “pictures that looked menacing” and wrote those models into the ban.
Yes, really.
