Op-ed: Obama’s Order Ices Out Some Lgbtq Immigrants | Advocate.com

Night-vision car technology – WINK-TV News

As a community, we know that we do not fit the normal definition of families that continues to dominate public discourse. Many LGBTQ undocumented immigrants do not have families that are US citizens or permanent residents that could allow them to qualify for the program. Additionally, we know that our community, especially trans women of color, is unfairly targeted by law enforcement through racial discrimination or for engaging in survival sex work. These daily realities mean that many members of our LGBTQ community will be left out of the presidents plan. While many members of our community will find relief from the presidents actions, a large group will continue to be excluded. As advocates for the LGBTQ and immigrant communities, we must remain diligent in working to end immigration policies and practices that hurt our community.

Best Looks of the Week, 11/21

Getty Images Our style stars this week took to the red carpet in closet-staple colors: We’re talking reds, blacks and whites (and the occasional pale pink). Another sartorial note to take from these leaders in chic? How to rock a deep crimson lip, which is the shade we’re guaranteed to be wearing all winter. At last night’s 2014 Hugo Boss Prize event in New York City, black-and-white was the trend to remember: Kate Bosworth donned a graphic printed midi that she paired with black Kurt Geiger London pumps and a brick-red lip. Actress Margot Robbie , also an attendee, wore a plunging, all-black pantsuit (no shirt, no problem!) with sky-high metallic heels and a blood orange lip.
